LCARS 47 • It's Taken Three Years (6.3 to 6.5 Comparison)

It's taken three years to get to where we are now and we still have a long way to go. 6.5 is shaping up nicely and will be the best we've made by far. Our feature packed 24th century experience will hopefully do nothing less than smash your expectations.

Borg Drones not included. Or are they...

Looks great. Can't wait.

I noticed the small button panel in the upper right (6.3) is gone. Also, the buttons in the main panel of the warp core display. Have these buttons and the events they triggered been remapped to the buttons in the panel frames? Geek curiosity.

I applaud your amazing efforts :)

Yes, that's right. All main content area operations are controlled from the main content control pane. As soon as you fiddle around with it, you'll probably find it's more intuitive that way. UI transitions are also improved and are designed to quickly "guide" your finger to the next set of controls. User input "flows from one input to the next rather than spending 5 minutes figuring out what to do next" (as the QC guys put it).

It won't have much of an impact visually, but operationally, it's a significant difference.
