Absent Times

Hai guys.

I know things at the LCARS 47 Project have been pretty dead lately, and it's mostly due to me. I've been pretty ill for a few weeks, and I'm in the process of moving house, so I have no Internet.

Anyways, I thought I'd drop by and let you all know that the project hasn't been abandoned or forgotten, I'm just unable to do much at the minute.

Flash Animations

This animation was inspired by some of the older Federation computer interfaces. It's among my favorite designs; they just look so soft and unobtrusive. Hit the "Red Alert" button on the right.

Simple LCARS "brackets" featuring a 'plasma constriction map' - I don't know what that means, either. Brackets make an excellent frame to draw the viewer's eye in, while maintaining a pseudo-complex look.

I've always liked the Cardassian love of geometry. Like their architecture, their computers really reflect this. The monitor above is a generic Red Alert monitor, which really illustrates Cardassian design.

They are the Borg... And resistance was futile; a Borg design was inevitable. I like to make the Borg controls look like they breathe by adding a subtle glow. It's not really canon, but it's effective.
